Artist's CommentsOne of the many street artists around Paris. This guy played an accordion on the metro (hence, the people in the background.). Daily DeviationGiven 2009-06-24From the suggester "This photo was the first one I saw from his street photography, and I instantly loved it. The man's eyes is a fun story in it self. While his expressions says 'Do you have to?' his eyes say 'Go on, I dare you' - like a split personality. The depth of field is also mesmerizing, and I love the whole concept of it." I really like his expression, the wrinkles around his eyes make him very friendly. Like someone who has gone through a lot, but still takes things with a smile.
I think the depth of field is a little to shallow, I would have liked to see his whole face sharp (because like this it looks a little weird proportional.
I really like the composition of the work, seeing the people in the background also works for an image like this. Maybe moving him up a little bit in the frame would have helped though, also because the light in the upper right corner is a little distracting.
But I really do like the image.
